"I am running for Congress because I have the education,
experience, training, skills, and ability to help. I am a long time advocate for kids, health care, credit reform, finance
reform, and prevention - health and occupational. When the mega businesses revealed their financial
greed and schemes in 2007, then closed doors, dumped workers, and ran off with the money, President Obama was able to keep
us from a deep depression - WE NEED JOBS and HOUSING NOW!!! I will WORK FOR YOU IN DC!!!! I
have 2 doctorates - medicine and law With my background as a physician in women's health, mental health, and preventive
medicine, I can help Congress address and solve some of the important issues that confront us today. I am a member of
the California Democratic State Central Committee and President of an organization dedicated to help resolve issues with California's
correctional funding, safety and medical care. As a private business person and entreprenuer,
I understand the problems and complexity of starting a business, hiring staff and budgeting to make a profit. I will
work to make your business successful. I am not a professional politician. I am a regular worker, like you, and I have
the same types of issues and concerns that you have. I know what you want from Congress. With my
Juris Doctorate, law degree, I do mediation and arbitration, so I know how to interact with people and solve real problems
quickly and successfully. As an arbitrator, I am a judge on the Air Hearing Board. Our board monitors air and water
quality and works with corporations to bring them into compliance to reduce air and water pollution. I am an ecologist
and I will work to keep our air, water, and land safe and beautiful for generations to come. As a Madera
Unified School Board Trustee, I was able to help successfully cut costs and encourage student educatiional success. I started
the "Farm-to-School" Program (which was not supported by the supintendent), and brought fresh fruits and
vegetables to our kids. The program currently has grown and brings in over $400,000 annually. As a teacher of
physiology and biology, I understand the education process and the barriers many find in getting a degree. As a minority
female, I know our struggles are often harder.
As a mom, I know the difficulties moms have balancing work and family including; meeting daily financial needs, handling
emotional needs, and dealing with all of the other aspects of regular life. MEMBERSHIPS: Central San Joaquin

Thanks voters, supporters, Patty Hughes
of Stanislaus - you are a great campaign organizer and you kept this big district together and active with volunteers. Thanks. / The battle to make
“The Valley” representative of actual residents did not end on Election Day. Although we won some important
victories, we fell short of a CD 19 win. We cannot afford to lose the momentum we just built. If we continue organizing, we
will succeed in valley representation of "regular working folks" in Congress in the very near future. Dr.

I will keep a Democratic Congressional
Office open in Madera. It will be open to those interested in Congress and politics. This was my first big race and I learned
a lot. I met some great people and some crazies. I am planning to try again in 2012. My broadcasts will continue, as will
my YouTube site: CentralValleyCD19. Goodwin: PHYSICIAN - LAW - MEDIATOR & ARBITRATOR - SCHOOLBOARD MEMBER - Certificated CA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
PROFESSOR (zoology, biology, physiology)
My Farm-to-School Program will bring $450,000 (fed funds) in 2010-11 to local farmers and fruits and vegetables to Madera students. Governor signed my idea (advocated 9/2009 in Madera Tribune) into law
to release terminally ill inmates and save almost half billion dollars "Goodwin's Law." Starting September 27th millions
of small businesses can get up to 8 new tax cuts - Republicans voted AGAINST these changes to help small
business. Denham did nothing about border security for 8 years. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/39712020#39712020 GOODWIN
A PEACEMAKER DENHAM HAS 2 FEDERAL ELECTION VIOLATION CASES =================== DENHAM
HIDES FROM VOTERS "He's in DC," yet seen on Fresno TV. If Denham is elected, you will never find him (without
cash lure). Where's WALDO? GOODWIN LIVES and works in CD 19. Denham's
lives in Salinas/Atwater and he is trying to avoid CD19, except for cash. Dodging voters. Goodwin
is fully invested in the CD 19 district and will protect and discuss issues with you. Chukchansi, along with other
tribes, are heavily backing Denham. Our local economy will be secondary to tribal business
expansion needs - local power and individual power will become nil.
===CAL PERS, CAL
STARS and UC Retirement System are unfunded by $500 BILLION DOLLARS. Retirement benefits will drop - contributions will increase.
California also owes around $3 BILLION in overtime costs. Denham part of failed Senate - CA has lowest credit rating.
I want government CREDIT CARDS of all elected officials
publicized and evaluated.

I always honor our soldiers and veterans.
I am a physician, arbitrator, mediator, peacemaker and a mom - so I will not vote for financial wars and our soldiers will
always be protected, not abandoned. Our sons and daughters will be more likely to die at home, with family, of old age if
I am elected to Congress.
GOODWIN WAS FIRST TO SUGGEST "MEDICAL PAROLE"
TO SAVE STATE MONEY - in an article published in the Madera Tribune September 2009 Loraine Goodwin advocated for medical parole.
The issue was then taken up by the state legislature and is slowly progressing through the system. GOODWIN has the IDEAS
to help the state and the Central Valley.

CENTRAL VALLEY WATER SELLS FOR BIG MONEY
The Fresno Bee said Republicans
are fighting for valley water - splitting the groups into east and west sides. Republicans blame President Obama for the fallow
fields, but it was President Bush and valley congressional representatives that ignored the valley for over ten years. Now,
there is a last-minute quickie ridiculous $11.1 billion dollar bond proposal to repair past neglect. Republicans want to tax
ordinary people, well into the lives of our children and great-grandchildren for their water blunders and greed. Selfish farm
businesses want to own our public waters, and sell the water for private wealth. I love the valley farms; my family has been
into farming for generations. I love salmon and I grew up eating smelt - just as fish do for nourishment. I want the
valley farms to be green and fruitful for my family and the nation in general for generations to come. The water discussions
have become so politicized, that the public can not find out the real story and the real concerns. I helped organize the Madera
area Regional Water Management Group and I feel water, a vital resource, deserves a more intelligent and truthful discussion.
I will have a listening meeting with valley farmers within the next two weeks. I support clean, safe and
healthy air, water and food. Huge tax increases for Californians is not the answer.

HAITI BURDENED BY DEBT and POVERTY
Past leaders of Haiti incurred large loans and used them selfishly for their lavish desires. The people did not benefit by
these monies. As we can see, things that were built were constructed poorly. Haiti led by keeping its people in ignorance
and extreme poverty. Now, after the 200,000+ earthquake deaths, our eyes are open and the devastated state of Haiti calls
out for total reform and improvement. The world banks must forgive Haiti's past $1.5 billion dollars in loans. Debt repayment
would be too much for the country. The banks could go in and latch onto some of the possessions that the past leaders purchased
with the loans. Haiti will need rebuilding from the ground up and education for all will have to be emphasized, along
with health and safety.

HAITI TRAGEDY
Our prayers to the people of Haiti who are suffering after the earthquake. Communication was destroyed and
the hospitals devastated. Roads blocked, so just getting to victims is very difficult.

BANKS SAY THEY WANT MORE MONEY...OR NO WORK
Banks are giving big bonuses to executives - $700,000 and secretaries are even getting $200,000 in bonus pay. This is a form
of financial terrorism. This is not "normal" pay and is extortion.

Ex-SUPRVISOR BAKER MOLESTS-COURT STALLS
I am shocked by the lack of justice for the 13 year-old girl who was molested
by Oakhurst Harry Baker in 2007. The court says Baker had sex with the youth and VIDEOTAPED it. Baker said he was feeling
for lumps. The court allows Baker to stay at home. Justice fails. The child suffers. Prisons have great medical care and I
think Baker should take advantage of that government health care as soon as possible. Protest to the Fresno Superior Court.
Raping our youth for internet porn OUT!

MADERA CERTIFIED AS TOURIST DESTINATION
County supervisors certified Madera as a Tourist Destination, which requires
an extra tax on overnight stays. Valley citizens must realize that as a tourist destination we are closely bound to our environment
and the value of natural valley resources.

MADERA GANGS USE HERF
Have you heard of HERF guns? Me either - but, now I know a bit about them and they could disrupt the government,
schools and other intelligence sites in the future - plus alter street lights - posing safety threats and cause power outages
and severe power fluctuations. Potentially, they could also disrupt security systems and they are known to disable individuals
by causing pain and disorientation. This device is currently being used by gangs in the Central Valley...and probably worldwide.
From the internet: "A HERF blast is a very high type of electromagnetic radiation that can do a considerable
amount of damage to a PC. It can completely erase a hard disk, crash the PC and could even fuse the silicon barriers on the
chips in the computer rendering it useless. Most electrical appliances are at risk to this type of attack, it is even possible
to stall a car at a set of traffic ligths with a herf gun."

REPUBLICAN DEVILS T.E.A. PARTY - SLAVERY
Republican Michelle Bachman hosted a T.E.A. Party and laughed wildly as persons impersonating President Obama, Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen Harry Reid were whipped and covered with "blood." Republicans
now beating minorities, women, seniors. Are the Republicans trying to go back to slave days?

DICK CHENEY FRANTIC IN HIS FIGHT
Past VP Dick Cheney is
fighting hard to preserve his place and that of past Pres. George Bush in the history books. He fights like a snarling bulldog
whenever he feels President Obama in any ways seems to "correct' the ills of the Bush era. President Bush sits quietly
at home, probably with a beer or two, and Dick Cheney goes out and does the "dirty" media work. Dick Cheney
is off-base and we can not accept the Cheney water-boarding tactics. Cheney says that President Obama is not fit because
he does not want to attack the Muslim world. Cheney had no exit strategy from his war - and his war costs use billions in
dollars and more in lives lost and anger generated in the foreign countries. Sure, there are always people who will hate the
United States, but it was not until Bush-Cheney, that the Muslims were able to unite against our country, recruit heavily,
and create a suicidal army. I saw the military building houses for servicemen in Iraq and Afghanistan. I guess that is where
we can find our future construction jobs. The Middle East loves the war because it brings them great wealth, validation and
business. We have to stop the war.
:::
NATIONAL SECURITY
As I listen to the media "talking heads" discuss national security and the Christmas episode where
a Nigerian tried to explode his underpants on an airplane, I am more and more convinced that they do not understand the scope
of national security and future problems we are likely to see.

Senators Byron Dorgan Chris Dodd Exit
oDemocratic Senators Byron Dorgan, a moderate who has stood up for the working class family
for thirty years and Chris Dodd, 5 terms, say they will NOT seek re-election. Stats
showed Dorgan 20 points behind a Republican candidate. This will be a loss for all AmeriCANS who valued these fighters
for middle-class working people. It is also a real loss for President Obama who could use as much sage wisdom in the Congress
as he can get.

2010 Continues With Unemployment and Foreclosures
California borrowed $6 billion from the Department of Labor for just unemployment benefits. Double-digit unemployment continues
as businesses are either leaving the area or just delaying hiring. 9 million Americans are underemployed and are working
part-time only. The early part of 2010 will see a lot of additional home foreclosures. Many banks postponed foreclosure sales
until after the holidays. Now many more will lose their homes and security and be tossed onto the streets. JOBS, JOBS, JOBS.

DEMOCRATS DECIDE TO RECONCILE BILL
Congressional Democrats decide Republicans are just obstructionists and decide to reconcile the final health care bill quickly
and away from Republican stalling and name-calling.

DR GOODWIN STARTED MADERA FARM
TO SCHOOL... Shortly after joining the Madera Unified School Board, Dr. Loraine Goodwin began promoting
the Farm-to-School Program. The former superintendent was adamant that the program was not safe - so undoable. Undaunted,
Dr. Goodwin persisted and was able to get a federal grant to start the Farm- to- School Program which is run under the District
Nurse. Also, as part of Dr. Goodwin's efforts to start the Madera Unified Wellness Program, the position of Wellness
Coordinator was created and filled by Rosa Garcia. A wellness policy for the district was developed and is now present in
the cafeteria of each school. Madera children now enjoy fresh local fruits and vegetables at no cost everyday as part
of the school program. Dr. Goodwin feels "the Central Valley grows great food and we have beautiful farms. Our children
must be able to enjoy our produce in our schools. We need to get rid of the junk food and let our kids enjoy healthy local
produce. It helps the kids and the farmers."
